ALI HALL was born in 1963 in Manchester UK, where she still lives and works. She graduated with a degree in Graphic Design and Illustration from Leeds Metropolitan University in 1986. In the same year, she won the Friends of Israel Educational Foundation Art Award, culminating in an exhibition of works at Christies Contemporary Art in London. She then began a career in illustration with clients such as Penguin Books, Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine, BBC Publications, Heinemann Children’s Books and more. Ali also collaborates with her husband, designer Ben Hall, on design and illustration projects.
