Collection: LeBOEUF Limited Edition Icon Carnegie

Philanthropic Champion

The LeBoeuf Pen Company is proud to honor the legendary industrialist and philanthropist, Andrew Carnegie, with this stunning limited edition fountain pen and rollerball.

Andrew Carnegie was a Scottish-American industrialist, philanthropist, and one of the most influential figures of the 19th century in the United States. Born on November 25, 1835, in Dunfermline, Scotland, Carnegie emigrated with his family to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 1848, where his early life was marked by poverty.

In 1892, he founded the Carnegie Steel Company, which became the largest and most profitable steel company in the world. His business acumen and innovative approaches to manufacturing revolutionized the steel industry. In 1901, he sold Carnegie Steel to J.P. Morgan for $480 million, which is equivalent to about $13 billion today.

Carnegie is perhaps most famous for his philanthropy. He believed in the "Gospel of Wealth," arguing that the rich had a moral obligation to redistribute their wealth for the public good. Over the course of his life, he donated more than $350 million (equivalent to billions today) to causes such as education, libraries, and scientific research. He funded the establishment of more than 2,500 libraries, as well as universities, schools, and institutions, including Carnegie Mellon University and the Carnegie Institution for Science. He passed away on August 11, 1919, in Lenox, Massachusetts.

Each Andrew Carnegie “Gilded Age” Limited Edition was produced with a carefully selected Steel Gray acrylic which pays homage to Carnegie’s role in founding of the United States Steel Corporation.  Each pen barrel has been carefully polished and engraved with the famous signature of Andrew Carnegie.  A gold commutative coin featuring a portrait of Andrew Carnegie has been fitted on to the top of each cap.

Each Andrew Carnegie Limited Edition features a German Gold plated steel nib featuring the LeBoeuf logo. Available in both fine and medium points, the pen utilizes a cartridge/convertor filling system.  A roller ball version is also available which uses a Standard International roller ball refill. Each pen model is limited to 150 pens Worldwide.
