General Douglas MacArthur ‘Returns’

LeBoeuf Pen Company honors General Douglas MacArthur with this stunning Limited Edition of 145 fountain pen and rollerballs.

General Douglas MacArthur was one of America's greatest military leaders who was instrumental in defeating Japan in World War II, and then presided over the rebuilding of Japan. MacArthur served in the U.S. Army most of his life, participating in three major wars (World War I, World War II, Korean War) and rose to the rank of Five-Star General of the Army.

One of the most decorated soldiers in United States military history; he was appointed Supreme Allied Commander in the Southwest Pacific Area. After Imperial Japan surrendered to the Allies in August 1945, MacArthur became Supreme Commander of the Allied Powers and rebuilt Japan from the ruins of defeat during the Allied occupation. His enlightened policy towards the Japanese and respect for their cultural traditions made him a beloved figure in that country.

General Douglas MacArthur remains a larger-than-life figure in American history. Upon his death in 1964, President Lyndon B. Johnson met MacArthur's casket at Union Station in Washington, DC, and escorted it to the Capitol Rotunda where MacArthur laid in state for the nation to mourn. President Johnson had ordered that General MacArthur be buried "with all the honor a grateful nation can bestow on a departed hero”.

The LeBoeuf General Douglas MacArthur Limited Edition was produced with an exclusive acrylic material called Military Green Marble.  This material was purposefully selected to represent the historic military career of General MacArthur. Each pen barrel has been carefully turned and polished and features General MacArthur’s famous signature engraved in gold.  A gold coin featuring a portrait of MacArthur has been fitted to the top of each cap. Five gold stars are engraved onto each cap which pays homage to MacArthur’s rank and enhances the elegance of this special pen.

Each General MacArthur fountain pen features a German made gold plated nib featuring the LeBoeuf logo. Available in both fine and medium points. It utilizes a cartridge or converter.  A rollerball version is also available which uses a standard international liquid ink refill. Each pen model is limited to 145 pens worldwide.
