Few designs can remain relevant for a hundred years, which is why Montegrappa is celebrating 2022’s Color of the Year; Very Peri with its classic Elmo 01. Imagined in a solid periwinkle blue it brings vivid presence to the striking simplicity of 1922’s breakout silhouette.

This beloved design channels the maverick spirit of Heinrich “Elmo” Helm – Montegrappa’s factory’s Technical Director until 1928. His ideas were born out of both ambition and necessity, drawing on the ethos of the Bauhaus movement to streamline production and to meet the demands of a growing educated class. As is the case with many Bauhaus designs, they are timeless.

The fountain pen is available in: EF, F, M or B. The rollerball uses typical international size cartridges available in many colors and point sizes. The twist-top ballpoint takes a Parker-Style refill which is available in 12colors and 4 point sizes. Choose from Standard, GEL or Liquid ink.
