The Regal Year of the Dragon collection showcases the innovative use of Juma® resin, a unique material originally developed as a substitute for ivory and antler. This man-made resin, known for its biophilic, scale-like appearance, is exclusively featured in four fountain pen editions.

The standout is Royal Purple, which boasts vermeil trim and a yellow-gold nib and is limited to just 333 pieces. The Laguna Blue, Mamba Green, and Indigo editions each feature steel trim and are limited to 888 pieces. Montegrappa’s renowned Extra's timeless proportions embrace the biophilic fascination of new-age Juma® resin.

All variants, except Royal Purple’s yellow-gold vermeil trim, share identical writing features, including an 18K custom ‘hungry dragon’ nib. Each pen is available in EF, F, M, B, and Stub 1.1 and features a genuine ebonite feed. Each pen is offered with cartridge/converter filling and arrives in Montegrappa’s Premium case.
