Monteverde Creates a SLIP-IN Revolution
Monteverde was inspired by the shape of the fuselage of the magnificent Douglas C-47 Skytrain, also known as Dakota, which played a pivotal role during World War II. The Dakota Collection pays homage to the 80th anniversary of the end of this historic conflict on September 2, 1945.

Removing/replacing this cap as well as posting the cap is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced in a pen.
Breaking the Mold Again
Monteverde introduced the Dakota in a traditional fountain pen featuring a proven high quality JoWo #5 nib. Nib choices are extra fine, fine and medium. It uses cartridges or can be filled with the included ink converter. The feed and nib deliver a pleasurable consistent experience as would be expected.
The Raw Flame variant of the Monteverde Dakota is a true masterpiece, achieved through a specialized process of hand-flaming the stainless steel barrel. The metal, when subjected to these high temperatures, creates a unique, one of a kind rainbow effect. As the flame dances across the surface, it produces an extraordinary spectrum of colors that seem to glow from within.
Each Raw Flame pen is unique, as the pattern and distribution of colors are the direct result of the flame’s interaction with the stainless steel, ensuring no two pens are exactly alike.
